I love shooting engagement sessions! It is such a fun time for me to get to know my bride and groom's to be!! And warm November days are great for that!! We did have the clouds roll in on us but were able to get just a touch of the sun as it was setting!! Here are some of my fave shots!

We met on the plaza at the very spot he asked her if she would be his wife! It was a beautiful 1st day of November for our session! I always love hearing people's story of how and where they ask the big question, it is always something different! We had lots of fun and a lot of laughs on our session from attacking acorns to public wrestling matches, lol! Get ready for dimple envy!!
This was kind of like an engagement session, but they are already married :)! Megan nominated my giving is awesome recipient last year which was so nice of her! So I finally got to meet her and her hubby and their baby, a.k.a. puppy!!
Ok, so I have to tell you about Megan's eyes! I get the privilege of getting to see people's eyes up close and Megan has the most incredible eyes with a ring of dark blue-green on the outside and green in the middle and then a brown around the inside! I love looking at everyone's eyes!

Jamie and Jerod's e-session was so much fun! We found some awesome places to shoot and were working some really fun ideas. Some of them were Jerod's, gotta love creative clients!!!!! My top favorite shot of the session was inspired by weeks of insanely windy days. I so love it's warm california style to this shot! Woot! Woot! Embrace the wind!!!!!

Brad and Emily are getting married in September with a super short engagement, and yes they are THAT excited! Miss Emily was a bridesmaid in one of my last year's fall weddings and I was so excited when she contacted me for her own wedding! And after hearing their engagement story, I just have to tell you.....goosebumps!!!! Hanging out with couples who can't help but sneak in kisses all along the way reinforces how awesome my job is! And when you see her dark hair and freckles, it is game over! Lucky that her perfect guy is sweeping her off her feet! Here are a few of my faves from the session!!!
Another e-session to blog!! I have some fun images to blog from this session! We jumped around to some different locations in my neck of the woods. I have some awesome fields by my house and then we caught some sunset shots at the lake!
I am attacking my list as fast as I can!! I was sick a couple of days and I feel like I was out for about a week! Falling asleep on the couch by 9pm is pretty rare around here as I get some of my best editing done at midnight :), but I had a few days of wanting to do nothing but eat soup, drink oj, and sleep! Well now I am catching up! Starting off with a super fun e-session! Man, I love shooting engagement sessions! They are such a great time to get to know each other and having a bit of fun! They are especially fun when your clients are naturals behind the camera! Jamie had the most natural way of laughing and giggling that made my job so easy to catch natural expressions! And HOLLA, they both have the biggest bluest eyes! The wedding will be such fun! Here are just a few and then more blog posts are rolling out!!!

I was so excited to be taking this little lady's photos again, I took her senior photos several years ago (I was still shooting film!). She was a dream to photograph her senior year and was so easy to photograph still!! Mike didn't do too bad either, lol! We had a lot of fun on our shoot and hopped around town hitting some classic Kansas City spots and saved some other special spots for the wedding day!!
It is always so much fun and such a great idea to do engagement photos before the wedding! It is a fantastic opportunity for your photographer to get to know you and vice versa on a day with no time constraints and no stress! It was such a nice warm quiet Saturday afternoon, totally felt like a Sunday, to have an e-session with Mario and Christina! We did have a bit of wind, but I am a fan of blowing hair!!! I can't wait to show you everything, but here is a sneak preview!! And like I promised, one of the blue building ones that I knew I would love. But I do have a different ABSOLUTE FAVE! Which is listed first!!!! I wish I had a shot like that with my hubby!! Soooooo, what is the word? ......ROCKIN
