Photographers around the world were challenged by the wonderfully thoughtful (and I must say, the wittiest chicki ever) Kristen Kalp of Essential Imagery to give the gift of custom photography to someone who may be very deserving but unable to afford so.
You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is
struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one
job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating
personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom
photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season.
You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s
spirit, love, and beauty.
You know someone. I guarantee it.
I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance
to experience complimentary custom photography.
I’ll be giving away a complimentary session, a $500 dollar print credit, a dvd slideshow,
and the high resolution digital negatives, a $1900 VALUE!
All I need is a deserving person who would cherish captured
memories of their family. You have the opportunity to make
this a special Christmas gift for a special person, and as a bonus,
if you send in the nominee I select, you’ll also receive a $150 print credit.
The Rules:
You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely
be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage
payments for a two million dollar vacation home in
London does not qualify as sincere financial need.)
The nominee must reside in Missouri or Kansas. Tell me who you know,
what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork.

must be received by midnight, December 22nd, and the gift recipient
will be announced on the blog on Christmas Eve.

I am so excited to tell everyone about the cool fundraiser I have been helping with!!!! I have been meaning to post about this and I was reminded last evening as I sat with a group of seriously cool and talented local photog chickies at Trezo Vino after attending a seminar with David Jay and Jasmine Star (holy run on sentence!!!) Back to why I was reminded! I notice the Hot Legs cocktails specials on the table with every Hot Legs cocktail some of the proceeds go to the Trezo Mare's contestant, Erin Dolan (she's just the cutest ever!) So "The Memphis Flash" was for me, little spiced rum and banana martini, mmmm yummm! Sorry Erin, I could only do ONE!
